The creation of Havoc Adventure Sports has a long and rich history
of inspiration.

Team
Havoc was originally formed in 1998 as a cross-country
mountain biking team. Racing continued for a few years on the east
coast, but the freedom of trail riding
and exploring new destinations was more appealing than organized racing.
The team was hungry for more intense physical and mental challenges. As
a result, the team expanded its mission to include adventure sports and
world travel. The team was traveling across the globe to participate
in adventure racing, marathons, sky diving, bungee jumping, rock climbing,
kite boarding, hang gliding, white water rafting, spelunking, and scuba
diving. Team
Havoc delved into virtually any activities that involved a
sense of adventure and that pushed personal physical
and mental limits. The team remained focused on mountain biking, but the
emphasis evolved into downhill and freeriding disciplines.
The group exists today as a casually organized team of riders, friends,
and travel partners. They continue to compete in a variety of organized
events such as adventure races and marathons and donate their time to
maintaining local hiking trails. Team
Havoc is now officially sponsored
by Havoc Adventure Sports.
Team
Havoc's simple philosophy:
"Make our lives as rich as
possible with unforgettable experiences, because you only get
one guaranteed pass through life."
This concept is echoed
in the tagline, "Don't
settle. Create havoc in your life. Your next adventure is here."

Prior to the formation of Team
Havoc, a group of close friends called the Bacardi Brothers truly
wreaked havoc in Western New York. Since 1983 these young men
shared an interest in the outdoors, had a passion for adventure, and always
sought out
new
personal challenges…such as camping, rafting, bouldering, rapelling,
parachuting, and biking. The group took epic trips together, most famous
were week-long canoeing trips to remote areas of the Adirondacks. The six
original Bacardi Brothers are still close friends today and also members
of Team
Havoc.
